When we say Specialty Trades Contracting is a family that is no exaggeration. Zachary the son of Michael and second generation construction manager graduated from the University of Albany with a degree in Management and Finance.
With 5 years experience both working and running projects in the field Zachary is quickly acquiring a set of skills that will help understand the in’s and out’s of every project.
F. Jeffrey Mekeel
Jeff has extensive project management experience (30 years) in performing and executing demolition, asbestos, lead and other hazardous materials abatement work at high-profile projects in the North East.
Jeff is a versatile, innovative, and loyal project manager who is able to see the big picture while staying on top of all the details. Jeff is responsible for managing all aspects of the project scope, schedules and budgets for assigned projects. Jeff’s is also responsibility to ensure the project workforce is safely achieving targets by tracking, reporting, and communicating project progress to the client.
Jeff is a graduate of Alfred State College and has a strong background in EPA and OSHA requirements.
Ronna Smath has 44 years of experience solely in the construction industry. Her responsibilities are in finance and all back office duties.
Ronna has outstanding organizational and problem solving capabilities. She consistently strives to insure that all assignments undertaken have been accomplished to the satisfaction of the client.
Ronna started with Specialty Trades Contracting LLC at its inception.
Bob Mulcahey is a graduate of Widener University achieving a bachelors of science in Economics as well an Advanced certificate in Logistics from the University of New Haven. He served 3 years active duty as a maintenance and supply officer as well as being a paratrooper in the US Army’s famed 82nd Airborne Division. After active duty, he achieved the rank of Captain in the US Army Reserve.
Bob has years of experience managing and maintaining vehicles and equipment of various types as well as managing union and non union employees in both warehouse and office environments.
His most recent experience logistically supporting construction jobs inclusive of fireproofing, asbestos removal, and demolition spans more than five years. We welcomed Bob to our company in June of 2016.
Ray has been estimating and managing fireproofing projects for over 25 years. He has extensive experience with large scale industrial, commercial and intumescent fireproofing projects.
Ray is very familiar with UL and FM Global standards that pertain to fire rated designs and the Fire-Resistance Ratings for Building Elements required by the International Building Code. He works closely with building code officials, fire marshals, architects and structural engineers presenting value engineering options and/or design solutions for building code requirements.
